Expert Analytics, the creators of Resonyx, is a science and technology consultancy based in Oslo, Norway. We specialize in data science, mathematical modeling, and advanced software development, with two-thirds of our team holding PhDs.

Our History
In 2020, one of Expert Analytics' major clients needed help to monitor the health of their largest hydropower plant generators. The stators in these plants are split into two cores to get the massive generators into the mountain halls.
Once in place, the stator cores are bolted together. Due to the immense forces exerted on the bolts, the core joints need a tight monitoring regime. Domain experts use various sensors to monitor the generators' health and also their ears to listen for normal or abnormal sounds. Expanding on this approach with edge audio analysis sprung out from this.
